However, the Marine Corps are only authorize to award the cadet the pay grade of E-2. On the other hand, if the cadet chooses to enroll in a Senior ROTC unit at the collegiate level, the cadet will earn credit for two semesters of the first year of the military science curriculum.
ROTC Scholarships
Intended for high school seniors or graduates who haven't enrolled as full-time college students. Scholarships are awarded on individual merit, not on financial need. The SASI nominates cadets to Headquarters Air Force ROTC and once selected, the cadet enrolls in a senior Air Force ROTC program at an accredited university of his/her choice. Accepting a scholarship carries an active duty service commitment as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force upon graduating from the university. AFROTC scholarships cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and pays the student a monthly stipend for personal expenses ($250/freshmen, $300/sophomores, $350/juniors, and $400/seniors). To be eligible the student must obtain a minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 24. In addition, the student must earn a minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
