Educational
History
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, TX. in 1971. I then
attended U of H and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Elementary
Education. In 1993, I attended Prairie View A&M and earned a Learning Resource
Endorsement. This certification has enabled me to become a librarian.
Teaching
Experience
My first teaching experience was in Alief. I taught 4/5 grade for four years. My
husband and I opened a pharmacy in Waller, TX. the year I quit teaching and I did not
return to teaching until 1993. In 1994, I became the librarian at Jones Intermediate
School. We moved from the Prairie View campus to Schultz Middle School in
1998. Accelerated Reader, a technology based library program, is the basis of our
recreational reading program at Schultz.
Interests and
Hobbies
I have lived in Waller for many years and my husband and I have enjoyed the benefits
of a small town as well as an excellent educational setting for our three daughters.
I enjoy camping, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
