Bilingual and ESL Mission
Statement
The Bilingual and English as a
Second Language Department of Waller Independent School District is dedicated to
providing the Limited English Proficient student with the opportunity to be
academically successful. Our goal is to produce students competent in the
English language through the implementation of a challenging curriculum and
proven teaching strategies directed toward academic, social and emotional
skills. We believe these skills to be the cornerstone for shaping students who
will become life-long learners and contributing members of a global society.
Waller ISD Mission Statement
The Waller Independent School District exists
because of the students. We believe that all students have the potential to
learn. It is, therefore, the mission of Waller ISD to serve all students
regardless of their ability, environment, or national origin. They will be
provided the opportunity to develop intellectually, physically, and
socially. Through these opportunities, students will be encouraged to become
responsible members of a dynamic, changing society. |
