WISD Food Service trains safety monitors. Waller ISD Food Service personnel (L-R) Betty Oeltjen (Schultz Middle School), Maria Portillo (Waller Junior High), Wendy Wilson (Jones Elementary School), Sabrina Schoen (Fields Store Elementary), Gerald Weathers (Roberts Road Elementary Schoool), Betty Brigner (Holleman Elementary School), and Kathy Kostak (Waller High School); have been trained to be district food service safety monitors. These employees are trained with provided curriculum in monthly meetings. They hold weekly kitchen safety presentations on their campuses and monitor safety in the work place. The safety monitors are part of WISD’s pro-active approach to preventing work related injuries in the Food Service Department.
