Waller Area Chamber
of Commerce hosts New Teacher Reception.
Aug. 13, the Waller
Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) hosted a circus themed New Teacher
Reception and luncheon for all new teachers in Waller Independent School
District and at Rosehill Christian School. The event was held in the
fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) in Waller.
Honored guests were welcomed by WACC President Mark Dandy and WACC Vice
President Sherri Rumph. The WACC announced that The Carson and Barnes
Big Top Three Ring Circus will be coming to Waller Oct. 30, 2007 for two
performances. (Tickets will be available in October.) After an
invocation by FUMC Pastor Ken Jones, in true circus spirit, a hotdog
luncheon complete with pasta salad and desert was served as door prizes
were given. Texas State Representative Dr. John Zerwas addressed the
group. Waller ISD would like to thank the WACC for hosting the event.
