Pierce becomes WISD Board President in Reorganization

During a special called meeting May 22, the Waller ISD Board of Trustees elected Board Secretary Robert “Bo” Pierce as its new president. Pierce’s term as president will begin June 3. Dr. David Kirkpatrick was reelected vice-president and Brian Lowe was elected secretary.
     In other business, newly reelected Board members Brian Lowe and Paul Wood took their oath of office from Waller County Judge Owen Ralston. The Board also canvassed the May 12, 2007 bond election by reading an order of official voting results. The bond passed by nearly a 2-1 margin; 770 for, 446 against. They also voted 6-0 (Trustee Kaminski was not present) to approve secondary staffing requests.
