Texas Supreme Court Rules
in favor of Waller ISD
Waller ISD is thrilled to tell the
community that March 14, Waller ISD was informed that the Texas Supreme
Court made its final ruling in favor of the students of WISD in the case of
its $49.29 million May 12, 2007 bond election that was approved by voters by
a 2-1 margin.
WISD is very pleased with the favorable ruling from the Supreme Court.
This is great news that formally validates the bond election. The will of
the voters has now been upheld in all proceedings including six in District
courts, the First Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas, and the
Texas Supreme Court. WISD looks forward to starting much needed construction
projects included in the bond package as soon as possible.
“I want to sincerely thank the community once again for your
overwhelming continued support and encouragement over the last year,” WISD
Superintendent Richard McReavy said.
