WHS girls soccer wins over New Caney

Feb. 26 Waller High School’s varsity girls soccer team led by goalie Ashley Young with the help of defenders Mandy Bonilla, Sara Burton, Nancy Mata, and Nancy Bueno took their second district shutout of the season against New Caney High School. The final score 1-0 with the loan goal made by Amanda Rojas assisted by Meghan Gauna.
     The team is currently fifth in a district of nine teams with an overall record of nine wins, nine losses, and three ties and a district record of four wins, six losses, and one tie. They have won over Willis, Navasota, Caney Creek, and twice over New Caney.
