Lowe’s Give 20 Years Plus to Waller ISD
Bryan and Donna Lowe are two extra-special Waller
ISD concession stand volunteers. The Lowe’s have
been volunteering countless amounts of hours at
athletic events since the Fall of 1990. This year
marks the Lowe’s 20th football season of
concession stand volunteer work at all of the
sub-varsity football games.
What does 20 years of concession stand volunteer
work entail? From 1990-2008 alone, the Lowe’s worked
at the Waller Junior High concession stand for eight
evenings each football season. Add to the 8
evenings an additional 16 evenings a year of
concession stand volunteer work for both Waller
Junior High and Schultz Junior High games this
season. Additionally, 10 more evenings per year
need to be added for the volunteer work at the
Waller High School 9th grade and JV
games.
Evening after evening and year after year, the
Lowe’s continuously have dedicated their time and
efforts to the benefit of the Waller ISD students
and bulldog fans. To date, the Lowe’s have
dedicated a whopping amount of 376 evenings and the
evenings keep adding up. An evening working at the
concession stand consists of supplying the
concession stands with delicious stadium food and
drinks, such as nachos, pickles, hotdogs, candy,
popcorn, sodas, and hot chocolate. They also assist
with food preparation and sales, and move food items
from one stadium to another at a moments notice.
The Lowe’s have dedicated well over a solid year,
plus many more of their evenings to Waller ISD. In
addition to the 376 evenings, Bryan Lowe has been
serving as a devoted school board trustee since
1988. Bryan and Donna Lowe are both former Waller
High School graduates, the parents of three children
that are also Waller High School graduates, and the
grandparents of two grandchildren who attend Waller
schools.
The Lowe’s are well-known throughout the Waller ISD
community for their selfless, kind, and giving
hearts. Waller ISD is recognizing the Lowe’s at the
November Regular Called Board Meeting for their
continuous dedication and tremendous volunteer work
supporting the Waller ISD athletic programs.
