Load Up the Family to Join the Waller ISD Stadium Grand Opening!

Load up the grills, park your vehicle and pull down the tailgates! Bring your friends and family on August 28th to enjoy the stadium outdoor setting. The time is near! The “Maroon Out - Do It Yourself Tailgating Party” and Waller High School Bulldogs vs. La Marque Cougar August 28th game is almost here!  The Home Side parking lot will be open to the public to set up their tailgating spot at 9:00 a.m. on grand opening day (alcohol and tobacco prohibited). 

The family event festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m.  Food will be served to the first 1,000 folks beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Gather the kids for some dancing fun to DJ tunes, moonwalks, police cars and fire truck tours, photos with your favorite mascot, and meet and greet Miss Texas USA, Brooke Daniels; Waller High School student, Miss Waller County & Ms. Teen Texas World Pageant, Jenna Wade; and Evelyn Turlington Elementary student and 2009 National American Miss South Texas Jr. Pre Teen Queen, Shelbie Thomson.  Several Waller ISD school organizations will be selling t-shirts and spirit items to help spread around the Waller ISD bulldog spirit. All ticket buyers will receive a commemorative ticket.  

Several exciting events will occur during grand opening night!  The Waller High School Band will start off the processional march from Waller High School to the new stadium. A tribute to service members and a memorial dedication for fallen Waller ISD heroes will take place prior to the game. A game ball relay run will occur by the Waller High School Cross Country Team running the game ball from the old stadium to the new.  Special Guest, Congressman Michael McCaul, will perform the pre-game coin toss. Football kick-off time begins at 7:30 p.m.  At half time, a stadium dedication ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with students participating from all of the Waller ISD schools.   Several special guest appearances and band performances will be part of the half time entertainment.  The entertaining evening will close with a post-game fireworks display for all of the bulldog fans to enjoy.  Come join the entire Waller ISD community to celebrate the Waller ISD Stadium Grand Opening!
