Waller ISD Attendance Zone Boundary Public Meeting
Waller ISD - The Waller Independent School District
Board of Trustees has scheduled a
2009-2010 Waller ISD Attendance Zone Boundary Public
Meeting. The public meeting is
about the proposed elementary and junior
high school attendance zone boundary changes that
will become effective at the beginning of the
2009-2010 school year.
The public meeting
will be held at the Waller High School Cafeteria on
Monday, March 30, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at 20950 Fields
Store Road, Waller, TX 77484.
Richard McReavy, Waller ISD Superintendent, will
solicit feedback from the community about the
proposed changes to Waller Jr. High, Wayne C.
Schultz Middle School (will be re-titled to Wayne C.
Schultz Jr. High), Roberts Road Elementary, I.T.
Holleman Elementary, Fields Store Elementary,
H.T. Jones Elementary and the new
Evelyn Turlington Elementary attendance zone
boundaries. The public will be able to view the
proposed boundaries, ask questions, and share ideas
with the Superintendent and staff.
Waller ISD will undergo grade level re-alignments to
the elementary, middle, and junior high schools
effective for the 2009-2010 school year. All five
of Waller ISD’s elementary school grade levels will
be re-aligned to Pre-K through 5th grade, both
Waller and Schultz Jr. Highs will be re-aligned to
6th through 8th grades, and Waller High School will
remain as 9th through 12th grades.
Evelyn Turlington Elementary is under construction
and due to open for the 2009-2010 school year. The
new elementary is being built to relieve overcrowded
conditions at the elementary school campuses. The
attendance zone change maximizes the use of our
schools’ facilities preventing severe overcrowding.
The proposed attendance zone changes will possibly
impact the students enrolled at the elementary,
middle, and junior high schools.
The public is invited to join us at the 2009-2010
Waller ISD Attendance Zone Boundary Public Meeting
on Monday, March 30, 7:00 p.m. at the Waller High
School Cafeteria,
to provide their input.
