Waller ISD First Day of School Brings Lots of Smiles
WALLER ISD- Students, parents, and school district employees all
had something in common on August 25th. Spirits were high
and all were looking forward to a bright new school year. Many proud
parents and guardians looked on as their children headed off to school
knowing they are entering into a new beginning. Lots of smiles were
beaming off students’ faces as they saw old friends and made new
acquaintances. Staff and faculty were full of hugs and handshakes
welcoming new students and reuniting with their former ones. Countless
students were already familiar with their new teachers and new school
surroundings when they attended “Meet the Teacher Night” the previous
week at their campus.
Many students had
a variety of answers when asked “What was your favorite part of the day
on the first day of school?” Schultz Middle School 6th
graders Tyler Twardowski and Dylan Schroeder said their favorite part of
the day was “PE”. Waller Jr. High 7th grader Arial Herrera
said “my favorite part was Math”. Several miss their playful summer
months including I.T. Holleman Elementary School 3rd Grader
Tre’ Hinojosa who said “he liked living the good life over the summer”.
Overall, the
endless smiles started early in the morning and lasted well throughout
the day. The smiles did not stop at the end of the school day though.
Numerous returned the next day with the same cheerful, radiant smile.
Each knew that there are many more wonderful memories to be made
throughout the remainder of the school year.
