Waller ISD Board Member, Louis Tucker, Selected to Serve with Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors
Louis Tucker, Waller ISD Board of Trustee, has been selected to serve on the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Board of Directors.  Tucker will represent all Independent School Districts in the H-GAC regional area. H-GAC is the regional organization through which local governments consider issues and cooperate in solving area wide problems. All H-GAC programs are carried out under the policy direction of H-GAC’s local elected official Board of Directors. 

The HGAC Board of Directors is made up of 35 elected officials representing 13 counties, 105 cities, 14 member Independent School Districts in the region.  The Board of Directors designates committees to study a regions area of importance. H-GAC committees are Finance/Budget, Legislative, Projects Review, Planning, Emergency Trauma Care, Water Resource, and Audit.
