Rules: Discipline Procedures We want to make discipline as
positive as possible, and at the same time make sure the children know the
importance of good behavior. Every day as
the students arrive in class, they will receive a red star in their folder on
the behavior chart. We know that they
are going to have a great day, so we give them a star first thing when they
arrive. After a warning is given, if
a child can not behave as expected, he/she will be ask to move his/her
clothes- pin on the behavior stick.
The drawing at the bottom will help to explain how the moves
work. If a child moves his/her
clothespin 4 times, the star is marked out, and the rules not followed will
be noted.
Every child
has a clothespin that begins the day on the gold stick.
When a
child moves to blue, it is a warning.
If a child continues to misbehave, he/she moves to yellow (5 minutes time out), then to green(10 minutes
time out), and last to red (15 minutes time out and loss of star).
